Lancôme Paris is set to release another fabulous lipstick collection called Rouge In Love. The beautiful Emma Watson, who embodies modern romanticism, freshness, and style, will be the face of the brand. The collection will be available mid-February 2012 on Lancôme.ca and all Lancôme counters.
Lancôme Paris held a media preview for the collection at the Rosewater Supperclub in Toronto, hosted by their official makeup artist Lora Spiga. There was a delicious crepe station, mimosas, and other tasty treats all reminiscent of Paris. Such a great way to start a weekday morning.
Rouge In Love boasts 24 shades which can be broken down into three main categories. While you can wear these colors at any time of day, and even pair them together, the best thing about the lipstick line is that it was created to fit your mood. And the color and shine last six hours!
For those mornings where you want a bit of color but nothing too bold. The colors in this palette offer a natural shade with a hint of tone-on-tone pear particles, designed for those beautiful mornings. Spiga offers this tip for working with shades in the Jolis Matins palette:
"To veil the lips in a light, sheer shade, pucker out as if you were blowing a kiss and simply dab on Rouge In Love with your fingertips. An ultra-simple, bee-stung effect."
This palette takes you right into the late afternoon, for those moments shared with your girls catching up over some drinks. The colors are bright, still maintaining that shiny look and going on as light as ever.
"Feel free to blend shades to create your own colour. For example, for a fresh and glowing result, combine 'Rose Boudoir' with 'Violette Coquette' and set it off with a touch of 'Rose The'. An instant healthy glow."
This palette is for that night when you feel you are on top of the world, and want to let out your inner lioness. Seductive tones with intense shades infused with golden pearl particles. I have to say, this was my favourite palette.
"By placing a lighter touch in the center of the lips: they will look even plumper. For a more sophisticated effect, an extremely elaborate look and intense color, apply it with a brush, starting at the corners, insolently sexy."
