No one makes better makeup collaborations than Lancôme Paris. As if their products weren’t great already, they manage to exceed my expectations with every partnership they release. One of their missions is to strive to create synergies between beauty and the arts.
Their latest limited edition collection for Summer 2012 with Canadian painter Corno, is another great example of that. Lora Spiga, Official Makeup Artist for Lancôme, and Corno worked together to deliver this offering. Each of the signature products were carefully selected by the ladies to reflect overall a colorful and playful collection. Together they worked on two lipstick shades, two blushes, a pink nail polish, one amazing eyeshadow palette with 5 shades from golden to iridescent shades. What I really love about this is the instructional booklet on how to apply the colors to get the best effect. It has a daytime look, and a night look. And how can I forget, the makeup essential, a great powder foundation brush.
Corno worked on a painting exclusively for Lancôme, which can be seen on some of the collateral for the promotion. Such a great painting to wrap up the sentiments Lora & Corno had in mind when they collaborated on this line: sultry, carefree, and seductive. The collaboration doesn’t stop there, even the packaging has Corno’s personal touch, her signature is even on the product itself. Now this is what you call a match made in heaven for the art lover / beauty junkie.
