I-D’s Summer 2012 issue features eight covers, and we’ve already shown you the first two featuring Raf Simons and Julia Restoin Roitfeld. Now, the next two covers have been revealed, with model Arizona Muse photographed by Kayt Jones on one of them, and actor Andrew Garfield photographed by Alasdair McLellan on the other.
Mikel was not as swayed. “I appreciate the pioneer American west aesthetic but overall Arizona's cover is quite a drab and depressive affair,” he wrote.
The tough-to-please mikel wasn’t impressed with Andrew Garfield’s cover either. “I can't stand him and I can't stand the [Spiderman] reboot,” he posted. “Very clever and topical of i-D by putting him in a slightly webbed shirt,” he conceded.
Honeycombchild, by contrast, is ready to buy. “Andrew's cover has sold it for me. I'll be hunting around for his. I'm not even going to attempt to hide my weakness for him,” she admitted.
For those of you who like the Arizona cover and want a sneak peek at what the editorial will show, here’s a short film directed by Kayt Jones. A word of warning, there’s a very brief flash of boob, so if you’re at work you may want to skip it.
