Vogue Australia has tapped a sultry-looking Catherine McNeil as its October cover girl. The team collaborated with Jean Paul Gaultier and enlisted the photographic expertise of Gilles Bensimon to shoot the model wearing a piece from the Gaultier archives. The show-stopping archival piece was selected by the magazine’s Senior Fashion Editor Christine Centenera.
Members of our forums are delighted with the outcome. “I’ve been waiting for this and I’m glad to say it does not disappoint. Cat is just woooow. I love the horizontal lines as well, nice to see a new creative angle. Should have been the September cover!” raved HeatherAnne.
“It’s finally out! As soon as I opened this thread, I knew you would’ve been pleased with the results. The Bensimon + Vogue Australia pairing certainly does not disappoint,” replied AL92.
“STUNNING! The makeup may be a little harsh, but the pose, the dress, it all looks sublime!” offered an excited marsnoop2.
“This looks great! Like a very ICONIC cover from back in the day. I may need a copy,” declared Khabeer.
Thanks to a review kindly compiled by AL92, we know that Catherine also snagged each of the four fashion editorials inside. “Wow [an] entire issue of Cat? Yes please! So Happy about this,” exclaimed Miss Dalloway.
“Yes! Sounds incredible, glad to see them recognize that Bensimon has done great work for them lately by giving him a cover and 2 editorials. Dying to see Horne‘s (as usual) piece as well,” added HeatherAnne.
