Interview sent us into a frenzy with the release of its March edition featuring cover star Jodie Foster (among others) and we couldn’t have been more appreciative for the out-of-the-ordinary choice. The April edition, however, was a total miss amongst forum members with a cluster of unknown stars splashed across the cover. On to the May issue featuring an unrecognizable Dakota Johnson captured by Craig McDean, leaving our forums divided.
As per usual, forum members weren’t afraid to dive right in. “This is probably her best print work, although it amazes me how out of nowhere she always pops up on a cover!” said TeeVanity straight away.
“Fantastic cover and some really great shots in her edit. Best I’ve ever seen her,” agreed justaguy.
“I’m all for a new breed of style starlets, so the idea of Dakota on Interview is welcoming. The cover shot however looks like it was taken from the vantage point of a dentist,” commented Benn98, just as things began to go south.
Also not showing great enthusiasm toward the cover was honeycombchild: “I could barely tell it was her. Maybe it’s just me but on first glance she looks like Parker Posey.”
“I thought it was Jessica Biel,” MON replied.
Forum member t-rex wasn’t buying it, either, adding, “I wish they gave us something different with her – we always see her with that same messy waved hair, feminine-rock styling. Clean her up for once.”
