Kendall Jenner Is Out of Her Depth in Roberto Cavalli’s Spring 2019 Campaign

Kendall Jenner didn’t exactly have a record-breaking Fall 2018 campaign season, only managing to score two (forgettable) campaigns for Longchamp and Dsquared2. Yet things are looking up as she starts the Spring 2019 season as the face of Roberto Cavalli. The most-followed model of 2018 and last year’s highest-paid model poses for Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott in the newly unveiled campaign, looking like a fashionable nomad in an otherworldly desert setting, with Marie Chaix on styling duties.

Despite Kendall’s highly successful career, our forum members can’t seem to change their low opinion of her modeling skills. “Nepomodels everywhere, I’m done with fashion!” aguires said.

“It has the spirit of Cavalli but Kendall is not a Cavalli girl. Thanks to the CK report, we know now that the Kardashian are not selling when they are attached to big brands. So, why is she there?” asked Lola701.

“You can literally see her think ‘where the f*** am I?’ in that first shot,” mocked Vitamine W.

Also not buying it was forum member reese06: “She’s not selling it and the use of her for this brand is baffling. Who are they targeting?”

Morgane07 felt the same way, commenting, “You can’t get a lot worse than Kendall as a model – I find the way she doesn’t try irritating or laughable depending on my mood. It’s not surprising that French fashion houses have stopped using nepo models. It’s almost as if the ads promote them as opposed to them promoting the brand/clothes!”

“That background looks so cheap and fake. It looks like she went to one of those small-town natural science museums. I think that nepotism and social media have ruined the fashion industry,” Perickles echoed.

“I don’t mind the fake looking set, but I can’t stand Kendull in this. She looks so robotic and fake,” mikel chimed in.
