We’ve long associated Canada’s West Coast with natural beauty and a laid-back lifestyle, but now we’re also looking at it through a stylish lens. Set to kick off on September 15, Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) will feature 60 designers unveiling their Spring 2015 collections to over 25,000 buyers, media, celebrities and industry insiders.
With a focus on celebrating fashion, creativity and multiculturalism, VFW has invited designers from all corners of the globe to show at this event. Buzz-worthy names include Brazil’s Renata Buzzo, a devout vegan who is known for her custom-created garments that use moulage draping; France’s Joffrey Mongin, a recipient of the HEC Luxury Club Award and a member of the Givenchy ready-to-wear design team; and Italy’s Andrea Lazzari, a graduate of Milan’s prestigious Istituto Marangoni who favours designs that mix the classical with the experimental. Other designers hail from Australia, Colombia, Mexico, India and Norway, making this a truly international event that’s not to be missed.
