Iconix Brand Group Chief Marketing Officer Dari Marder says that for London Fog’s winter campaign, the brand wanted to feature “a modern iconic Hollywood couple.” And what could be more modern than a picture of a married couple that wouldn’t have existed as little as 15 years ago?
The British clothier has tapped Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka to front its latest campaign. The couple was shot in black and white with one photo featuring the pair standing firmly beside each other, while in another, we get a loving embrace, the couple’s wedding bands on full display.
London Fog hopes this ad will communicate the brand’s progressive attitude. Neil and his husband will also appear in the label’s spring campaign. And if the adorable couple wasn’t reason enough to get you to pick up a London Fog trench or two, the brand also pledges to donate money to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
