Lea T. is Redken’s Newest Brand Muse

Transgender model Lea T. is no stranger to busting through barriers and she continues to do so with her latest beauty gig. While it isn’t unheard of to see a transgendered woman on a runway, it is a rare sight in a high fashion or beauty campaign. At least until now. The Brazilian-born belle has been named Redken’s latest brand muse.

Lea will front the campaign for Redken’s line of Chromatics hair color, which promises 2x fortified hair with use. The model admitted to that she is more concerned with the state of her hair than she is with her face, making her perfect for this project. Lea has also appeared in campaigns for Benetton, Phillipp Plein and Givenchy and has been featured on the cover of Love magazine and ELLE Brasil.

She is obviously a gorgeous woman and we hope that this leads to even more beauty campaigns for the model. Today hair, tomorrow makeup!

Adriana Lima for Versace x Riachuelo Ad Campaign (Forum Buzz)

She’s currently on the cover of this month’s issue of Vogue Paris and now Adriana Lima is the face of Versace’s collaboration with Riachuelo. Adriana was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the campaign, which has caught the attention of our forum members. The brunette bombshell is the perfect model for the job, posing in the studio against an array of brightly colored backdrops wearing the new collection designed exclusively by Donatella Versace for the Brazilian department store.

Forum members are ecstatic with the results. “Adriana looks gorgeous as expected! Not sure how I feel about how they faded her out while amping up the colors in the background though. She herself definitely looks good…makes me wonder why she never had a Versace campaign in the early 2000s,” commented orchidee.

“Lovely campaign. Seems like Adriana is having a moment,” shared fashionlover2001.

Nepenthes was also feeling the pairing of Adriana and Versace: “Adriana is so, so perfect for Versace that it’s really strange that this is her first campaign for the brand. She looks gorgeous of course and I hope we see her in campaigns for the main line soon!”

Also sharing the same sentiments was Benn98, who echoed, “Oh wow, this is perfect. She’s perfect for Versace. That brash confidence with the killer curves and flashy clothes all works well.”

Forum member lightblue simply said, “This is pure perfection.”

“Adriana is Versace in the flesh!” complimented an enthusiastic khyrk.

And now, just in time for Christmas, she’s fronting the line’s first ever TV campaign. If seeing her face doesn’t make you want to splash out on a bit more frosting, what will?

Created by photographer Ellen von Unwerth, the commercials aim to celebrate the brand’s 30th birthday and feature perfect party season pieces from the Fall 2014 collection. The commercials will follow Georgia as she chooses which jewellery to wear for a night out.  (more…)

Angelina Jolie’s Vanity Fair Cover Would’ve Been ‘Amazing’ for Vogue Magazine (Forum Buzz)

As reported on our forums back in July, Angelina Jolie was photographed by Mario Testino for a top-secret shoot in Los Angeles. Discussion soon took place inside the Cover Rumor Thread and we assumed the shoot was for U.S. Vogue. Yet with the release of Vanity Fair‘s latest cover earlier today, turns out the shoot was for its December issue. Angelina poses for a nonchalant portrait cover image wearing a crisp white shirt, letting those piercing blue eyes do the talking.

Our forum members started to post their opinions within seconds of the cover surfacing. “What a beautiful portrait! Her stare and her eyes are everything! Beautiful!!!! This could also pass for Vogue!” raved a more than satisfied MON.

“Angelina’s beauty is just out of this world. What a captivating image. Plus, I agree with MON, this would also make an amazing Vogue cover,” echoed Nepenthes.

“Why not Vogue?” questioned GIVENCHYlover, who went on to comment, “She looks spectacular!”

ThatGuyPaul shared the same positive attitude and simply posted, “That’s a beautiful cover!”

Also showing enthusiasm was Miss Dalloway: “My god what a beautiful woman she is! Love the blue background.”

“She is so beautiful! Fantastic cover!” complimented Oxymore.

We have nothing but love for Angelina’s rare cover appearance! Are you a fan? See inside the thread for an editorial preview and share your own opinion here.
