Melissa George Flashes Nipples, Jessica Hart Covers up in DVF at 11th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Australian beauties Jessica Hart and Melissa George stepped out to impress the fashion pack in two very different getups last night, for the 11th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards at New York’s Sun Studios. While Jessica was covering up her Victoria’s Secret body in a modest Diane Von Furstenberg ensemble, Melissa drew eyes to her bust area by donning a nipple-baring number.

If you’re trying to figure out whether or not you should show some skin or leave all to the imagination for your next big event, let these two Aussie celebs help you decide.

Don’t let the beehive hairdo and diamond jewels fool you; Melissa was no angel in this getup. As if the plunging neckline and high thigh split wasn’t enough to draw the attention away from other big names, like Alexa Chung and Joan Smalls, who were also in attendance, the 38-year-old felt baring her nipples could also be a good head-turning idea. Kim Kardashian Bleached Her Brows

Ever wonder what an hourglass shaped hitchhiker’s thumb in designer clothes would look like? Look no further than one Kim Kardashian, who sported a pair of bleached eyebrows this week at her younger sister Kendall Jenner’s 19th birthday party. The reality star posted a few images from the festivities today, but this photo of Kimmy standing next to brow queen Cara Delevingne, is arguably the most important photo of the night.

Before you start to panic, don’t worry: She only bleached her brows for a photo shoot, so it’s not like she’s going to walk around for the next few months looking like she got into some sort of firecracker accident. For the record, we don’t think Kim looks horrible with albino brows. She’s gorgeous in general and we know she maintains her assets so, short of heavy costume makeup, there’s little anyone can do to make her not look beautiful. Must be nice! (more…)

John Galliano Loses Unfair Dismissal Case Against Former Employers

Now that he’s poised to make his debut as creative director of Maison Martin Margiela in just over three months, it’s easy to forget that John Galliano still has beef with his former employers at Christian Dior and John Galliano (the label). The designer’s been in court fighting claims of wrongful termination. Galliano claimed the two houses were “fully aware” of his struggles with alcohol and substance abuse and that such issues stemmed from his grueling work schedule.

“I can’t let the 17 years I spent and enjoyed at Dior be blackened like this,” he said. “During these years as creative director of this house, I did not realize that its success, multiplying its sales by four, came at a destructive and exorbitant cost: my physical and mental health. Always more work, always more obligations, always more pressure, a dangerous and pathological spiral, without control.”

With this knowledge, in spite of his reprehensible comments, Galliano insinuates that both fashion houses should not have been surprised at the misstep. While we do sympathize with the designer’s struggles, there is a degree of personal responsibility that needs to be taken into consideration. Sure, the stress of his job may have caused him to turn to drugs and alcohol, but unless the people at Dior and Galliano were physically giving him the drugs, can they really be held responsible? Probably not. Lots of people have stressful jobs, but not everyone goes on anti-Semitic tirades.

Galliano was looking for $2.4 to $13 million in damages. According to WWD, now that his claims have been rejected by the court, he’s been ordered to pay a “symbolic Euro” to both of his former employers.

Lea T. is Redken’s Newest Brand Muse

Transgender model Lea T. is no stranger to busting through barriers and she continues to do so with her latest beauty gig. While it isn’t unheard of to see a transgendered woman on a runway, it is a rare sight in a high fashion or beauty campaign. At least until now. The Brazilian-born belle has been named Redken’s latest brand muse.

Lea will front the campaign for Redken’s line of Chromatics hair color, which promises 2x fortified hair with use. The model admitted to Style.com that she is more concerned with the state of her hair than she is with her face, making her perfect for this project. Lea has also appeared in campaigns for Benetton, Phillipp Plein and Givenchy and has been featured on the cover of Love magazine and ELLE Brasil.

She is obviously a gorgeous woman and we hope that this leads to even more beauty campaigns for the model. Today hair, tomorrow makeup!

Adriana Lima for Versace x Riachuelo Ad Campaign (Forum Buzz)

She’s currently on the cover of this month’s issue of Vogue Paris and now Adriana Lima is the face of Versace’s collaboration with Riachuelo. Adriana was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the campaign, which has caught the attention of our forum members. The brunette bombshell is the perfect model for the job, posing in the studio against an array of brightly colored backdrops wearing the new collection designed exclusively by Donatella Versace for the Brazilian department store.

Forum members are ecstatic with the results. “Adriana looks gorgeous as expected! Not sure how I feel about how they faded her out while amping up the colors in the background though. She herself definitely looks good…makes me wonder why she never had a Versace campaign in the early 2000s,” commented orchidee.

“Lovely campaign. Seems like Adriana is having a moment,” shared fashionlover2001.

Nepenthes was also feeling the pairing of Adriana and Versace: “Adriana is so, so perfect for Versace that it’s really strange that this is her first campaign for the brand. She looks gorgeous of course and I hope we see her in campaigns for the main line soon!”

Also sharing the same sentiments was Benn98, who echoed, “Oh wow, this is perfect. She’s perfect for Versace. That brash confidence with the killer curves and flashy clothes all works well.”

Forum member lightblue simply said, “This is pure perfection.”

“Adriana is Versace in the flesh!” complimented an enthusiastic khyrk.
