With her latest movie Beastly in theaters now, and another film Sucker Punch set to be released later this month, Vanessa Hudgens is certainly staying busy. The former Disney star is also the newest face of Candies, following notables like Fergie, Britney Spears, and Hilary Duff.
The advertising world is nothing new for the the 22-year-old, having appeared in promotional photographs for companies like Neutrogena and Red by Marc Ecko.
Of course, Vanessa's big break was the High School Musical series, and at the first edition's press event at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in April 2006, the rising actress looked sweet in a yellow printed frock. At the 2009 Golden Globes, Vanessa also looked age appropriate in a beaded Alberta Ferretti gown.
Wanting to make more of a red carpet statement at the Oscars later that year, she selected a dramatic black Marchesa gown from the 2009 Spring runway. In order to fit in with the sophisticated ceremony, the gown was elongated into a mermaid silhouette, and the rosette details were cut back. The actress wore a playful Rebecca Taylor floral number for The Watchmen premiere in March 2009.
The Teen Choice Awards that summer called for a deep blue Christian Dior number, along with a smashing pair of Brian Atwood pumps. Much has been made about Vanessa's casual bohemian street style, so when she went shopping at Kitson in Malibu in March 2010, it wasn't surprising to see her in a floppy hat (which she often sports when she's out and about), cut-offs, and a billowy white tank.
Vanessa took a risk at the Nylon Young Hollywood Party, where she wore a purple satin Vera Wang Pre-Fall 2010 dress, accompanied by a new take on the bun. She went for elegance at the July 2010 premiere of former boyfriend Zac Efron's film, Charlie St. Cloud, wearing a white Reem Acra dress and some silver Jimmy Choo heels.
For the Los Angeles showing of Beastly last month, Vanessa arrived in a printed Julien Macdonald gown featuring quite the extensive train. While out promoting her current release, Vanessa hit David Letterman decked out in a fuchsia Zac Posen sheath, paired with fishnet stockings and Stella McCartney heels.
