In an ideal world, we’d all have the time and means to eat like Gwyneth Paltrow. Alas, delicious, unprocessed meals don’t just materialize out of thin air. And so, we put off decontaminating our bodies and cupboards, citing work and family obligations, laziness, etc.
Thankfully, there’s now a Paltrow-approved solution to your lack of time, energy and personal chef: Daily Harvest. The veritable clean foodie godmother recently put her money behind the year-old frozen meal kit service. (Side note: So did Serena Williams.)
Daily Harvest offers its subscribers a slew of yummy, pre-prepped smoothies, soups, oat mélanges and chia puddings for as little as $6.49 per portion. The mini-meals are filled with exotic superfoods, whole, organic fruits and vegetables and void of any refined sugars or preservatives. The best part? Some kind deliveryman brings the frozen delights right to your door. They’re then yours to consume at leisure, after blending or heating with your choice of liquid. (Raw goat milk, anyone?)
These aren’t your typical frozen aisle finds. According to Paltrow, Daily Harvest allows urbanites to reap the benefits of farm-to-table living without walking to the farmer’s market. “Frozen food gets a bad reputation but it’s actually a very practical way to consume nutrient-dense foods,” the Goop guru told People. “Most people don’t have access to farm fresh produce year-round and often times the produce available in the grocery store was picked before peak ripeness and then traveled a far distance to the store while its nutrients degraded.”
“Farm-frozen produce is picked at its nutritional peak, retains more nutrients and it’s more readily available to everyone,” added Paltrow. “For this reason, Daily Harvest really resonated with me and I am so excited to get behind a revolution in frozen with my investment.”
We’d be willing to give it a shot on the strength of this picture alone:
