Colorful and bold with an East Coast preppy vibe, Coach is pleased to launch the new Poppy collection for Fall 2009.The playful collection is brighter than the original Coach classics and includes prints, sequins and new fabrications in a variety of styles.
“When designing Poppy I really wanted to explore who the Coach woman could be,” said Reed Krakoff, President and Executive Creative Director. “With its bright colors, prints, sequins, and new fabrics, Poppy is a natural extension of the brand while simultaneously proving to be an exciting draw for new customers and age groups.
Pop art inspired prints and a new Poppy logo is inspired by notebook graffiti, exuding a youthful energy that rings throughout the collection. A few favorite standouts include the “Sequin Spotlight Tote” in cherry red, the “Peacock Evening Bag” in eggplant and gold hardware and the “Mini Change Holders” and wallets offered in a plethora of vibrant colors and prints.
In celebration of the Poppy collection launch, Coach is partnering with The Fashion Spot in hosting a soiree at the South Coast Plaza Coach store July 14th from 5-7pm. Guests will be able to indulge in a slew of Poppy-perfect treats, including a Poppy candy bar, exclusive Poppy presents with purchase, and a custom Poppy playlist created by famed NYC DJ’s, The Misshapes.
