Time and time again, Lover ticks all the boxes of what we look for in a new season collection. We adore how the Aussie label manages to stay true to its signature style, while also introducing new, fresh looks which keep us in suspense every time a new season is to be unveiled. Lover’s Spring 2014 range, dubbed Zodiac, is no exception.
As always, the divine brand has delivered its well-known feminine white pieces in the form of brass-buckled wrap shorts, high-neck blouses with cotton-lace inserts, sophisticated pencil skirts and fitted, short-sleeve dresses. It’s lucky the label didn’t veer away from the crisp white lace we’ve grown to love, because all-white-everything is quickly dominating wardrobes.
But like we said, we can always depend on Lover to mix it up from one season to the next. This time around, the label has gone a little dark-romance on us all, with the incorporation of black lace, harsh leathers, sexy mesh and a dreamy blue colourway. The moody pieces are kept feminine with peplum shapes, flattering cuts and asymmetrical details, cleverly bringing together two opposing concepts.
We’re stoked to see two floral prints for Zodiac because if anyone knows a good floral print, it’s Lover. The line’s Fall 2014 In Bloom print was so popular that Beyoncé, Candice Swanepoel and Este Haim were all spotted in the covetable pieces. The Spring 2014 version brings a fun and summery floral with soft salmons and greens splashed on crisp white, and on the flip side, there’s a monochromatic dandelion print on a delicate and sheer fabric.
If you love a bit of modern femininity, moody laces or playful florals, be sure to visit Lover’s online store because the pieces have just been released. Click through our favourite styles below.
