Bottega Veneta Fall 2012 Runway Review

Handbags and accessories aside, Bottega Veneta doesn’t get nearly the attention it deserves. Hopefully that will change this season. Consistently elegant and clean-lined, Tomas Maier stayed true to the refined minimalism he’s brought to the brand this past decade, but worked in embroidery, sequins, and beading to accent a number of his looks, including prints, for a slew of sophisticated opulent looks.

Thanks to impeccable tailoring, even the looks that worked in ruffles, peplums, pleats, corsets, and a variety of glimmering embellishments had polished appeal, while the clean-lined cuts of the monochrome collared dresses that opened the show will make for seasonless closet staples.
