There couldn’t have been a better decision than bringing Versus back under the creative direction of Christopher Kane and that was once again proven with the Fall 2012 collection. The lineup was true to Versace's sexy DNA, but with patch pockets, school girl pleats, fuchsia fur, lace-up leather, and a slew of dresses with rounded and slightly voluminous sleeves, it was distinctly younger in feel. Hair was pin straight and slicked back making for a severe counter-balance to the rock-inspired details and cuts.
Kane is a master with color and that was particularly evident in the wholly Fall-appropriate parade of bright yellow looks and via his print combinations. All hail this season's tough, confident, color, and print experimenting Versus girl.
