Animal prints, usually reserved for hot summer months, are making a huge comeback this winter season, inspired by all sorts of wild cats. Jaguar, cheetah, and leopard prints can be seen splashed on ultra micro mini dresses, sophisticated coats, and seductive evening gowns. The mixing and matching of cat breeds was also popular, as shown on a Dolce and Gabbana suit separate.

Paired with neutral accessories and staple garments in black, grey, and nude, this season’s look seems more subtle than other summer interpretations and exudes a modern approach.

Valentino shows off a gorgeous cheetah cape with a fur trim fit for a wild cat-loving lady.

An abstract animal print paired with thigh high boots, a grey sweater, and a fur-trimmed coat is for the younger girl who wants in on the trend, shown by Isabel Marant.

Blumarine’s polished, rocker chic suit pairs a cheetah print mini skirt and fitted jacket with matching strappy stilettos and clutch.  This is an example of how you can go head-to-toe in the trend without looking like you are wearing a catsuit.

How the cat lady covets… This gorgeous, asymmetrical shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown shows off exquisite, sultry draping.

Not a cat lover? Don’t worry, these prints are animal-friendly, and won’t shed on your cashmere sweater or scarf. Pick a more abstract version of the trend if you are feeling apprehensive.
