It wasn't the most figure-flattering outing with this season's Christophe Lemaire collection, which is disappointing given the designer's past success at both his own label and major houses like Lacoste and Hermes.
The fit of most of the looks appeared off, especially for the menswear-inspired separates. High-waisted and slightly oversized, the menswear-inspired pants bulked up even the diminutive models who wore them. Mao jackets and roomy blazers similarly failed to flatter, which was particularly problematic given their minimalist design — these are looks that were meant to be all about proper fit.
More success was had with the designer's fitted trousers, pleated skirts, day dresses and Bermuda shorts.
