Q: Where do you live?
A: Gold Coast, Australia
Q. What is your occupation?
A: Graphic Artist
Q: How old are you?
A: 23 ( and an Aries through + though)
Q: Describe your style.
A: Glam rocking & rolling 50’s housewife with a 70’s free spirit…Or in one word: vintage.
Q. Who are some of your favorite designers? Why?
A: Consistently – Luella, Missoni, Chanel, Marchesa, Collette Dinnigan, Sonia Rykiel, Zimmermann, Lover, Karen Walker, Mimco.
I have to admit though, I’m more excited by fashion of the past + would love and cherish a stunning vintage dress over a designer piece. I also love to support Australian labels and small up + coming designers. Always on the look out for something a little different + left of centre. (My seamstress is always on call!)
Q: What is one item in your closet that you couldn’t live without?
A: I will pretend this is one item; my usual vintage gold necklaces/bracelets/earrings. I wear the same combo nearly everyday + then just add to it from there. It goes with all my outfits + makes a simple outfit look ‘ready’. Yep, I’m an accessories kinda gal.
Q: What is the most embarrassing item in your closet?
A: Hmm.. I’m not really a hoarder + I’m pretty careful with clothing purchases because I am not a fan of wasting my hard earned ca$h, but I’ll go with my underwear drawer. I’d be embarrassed with someone trawling through that + I should really update it way more often than I do!
Q: How do you organize your closet? (ie. by color, type, season, designer?)
A: I change it every month or so to keep myself interested! At the moment it is by season (all warm wintery coats etc are off to the side now as we’re basking in spring/summer down under!); by type (pants/tops/dresses) as well as by colour (so cream dresses/coral dresses/yellow dresses). Wow, that actually sounds ridiculously anal + organised, but my closet is about 1.5m wide, so it helps me find what I need in a limited space!
Q: How would you describe your dream wardrobe?
A: Ok here goes: Edie Sedgewick’s collection of absurd + ridiculously huge earrings, Rachel Zoe’s vintage dresses + accessories, everything from Zimmermann’s latest collections, Audrey Hepburn’s everything (including movie outfits!) – all held within Carrie’s ‘engagement closet’ from Sex + The City. Oh and a fabulous computer + program nearby like Cher’s from Clueless to help me with any ‘mis-match’ concerns that my arise. (That’s my inner geek right there!)
