Brit Bloggers Show Us How to Master the Casualising Trend

Are you the kind of girl who loves getting dressed to the nines before adding an element that infuses your look with a touch of casual style? This trend has been bubbling up amongst some of our favourite bloggers and celebs for some time now, and has been dubbed “casualising.”

Solange Knowles has been hailed as the queen of the trend because she knows just how to transform a polished outfit into something that looks effortlessly casual. A classic example was when she was papped at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in a tailored skirt and heels finished with a casual sweater and trench thrown effortlessly across her shoulders.

If you’re looking for a little inspiration regarding how to pull the casualising trend off yourself, take a look at how some of our favourite bloggers have been doing it.

Blogger Emma Hill opts for tailored culottes with heels, and casualizes her look with an easy sweater and long blazer.

London Tall Girl ups the glamour with a full skirt and strappy heels, but in stark contrast, teams it with a relaxed statement tank.

The ever-creative Susie Bubble opts for a mesh layered skirt that’s fit for a ball, and tones the look down with a textured sweater finished with quirky sunglasses and fun jelly heels.

5 inch and up‘s Sandra Hagelstam keeps the look sleek with a full pleated skirt, high heels and plays the casualising trend with a simple black sweater.

Again, a full mesh skirt is the separate of choice, as Park & Cube‘s blogger casualizes with a simple striped sweater, which also balances out the heels.
