Our forums have nothing but love for just about everything WSJ Magazine produces and the title’s cover for November 2017 is no exception. For its annual ‘The Innovators Issue‘, Reese Witherspoon makes her debut WSJ cover appearance (the outcome being a far cry from Reese’s recent disappointing Glamour cover). Shot by Cass Bird, Reese looks effortless and at ease in the flawless and serene cover image, captured outside as she cozies up in a chunky Burberry knit.
Our forum members were full of praise for the cover. “YASSS. This is easily Reese’s best cover in YEARS. She looks sensational. So natural and powerful and confident. Love love love everything about this,” wrote a delighted happycanadian.
“This is absolutely beautiful, everything about this is perfect. Reese looks stunning, the lighting, colors, setting, outfit and typography work wonderfully together. 10/10 cover!” proclaimed forum member LastNight.
“Stunning. She looks amazing and natural,” wrote SallyAlbright.
In agreement over how fantastic the cover turned out was dodencebt: “Woah! This is easily the best Reese Witherspoon cover I have ever seen, so beautiful, pared down and serene.”
“Gorgeous! Would have been a perfect Vogue cover,” said MON.
“I’m impressed!” approved Benn98. “Her beauty really comes through here. This image more than holds its own next to her [Annie] Leibovitz Vogue cover in the 2004/5 era. Should’ve been for Porter, quite frankly. Great shot!”
“What a gorgeous cover! She looks so young yet so mature, I love it,” stated apple.
KissMiss described the cover as “Perfection!” and we simply couldn’t agree more.
