Hey there, world: you're being extra nice to me today, and all you had to do to make me happy was leak this photo of Liza Minelli photographed by Terry Richardson for the latest issue of LOVE magazine. Preview pics of the eight astonishing covers have been trickling in day by day and I've enjoyed every minute of it, but much as I love the cover images of Elle Fanning and Lara Stone and Mariacarla Boscono, nothing can top the sheer joy I felt when I first gazed upon my dear Liza posing for the high-fashion mag.
Even though I don't like Terry Richardson (like, as a person), he does take interesting photos and I love Cabaret more than I love my own toes, and why isn't Sally Bowles a fashion icon? (In fact, I even watched Cabaret last weekend. At a party. Instead of speaking with other human beings.) This photo proves that it's about time for us to right that grave wrong.
And to top it all off, this is just a single photo from an entire editorial spread which reportedly also features Liza dressed up as another good, strong lady: the Statue of Liberty.
Fashionista.com has put in a special request to the members of this very site, begging them to track down the other images from the shoot. Seriously, readers: please help.
